Kiran’s mission is to serve and empower South Asian victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in North Carolina by providing culturally specific services and comprehensive resources. Kiran serves and empowers individuals with backgrounds from the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Services include: a 24-hour crisis line, safety planning, housing assistance, referrals, legal advocacy, help arranging childcare and transportation, and interpretation assistance for various South Asian languages. Their website provides a list of resources for Medicaid assistance, food assistance, financial assistance, housing, elder abuse, and more.

North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCCADV)
The North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence works with local domestic violence organizations throughout the state. Their programs include technical assistance, training events, prevention, law and policy advocacy, child advocacy, state policy development, healthcare, housing, language access, economic advocacy and justice, and campus programs. North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NCCASA)
The North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault works with local sexual violence organizations throughout the state. Their programs include training and education, advocacy, and legislation. NCCASA provides information, referrals, and resources to individuals, rape crisis programs, and other organizations. Their website has a searchable index of rape crisis centers by county.
