The Moderate Means Program connects eligible clients who are middle-income earners with lawyers who offer legal assistance at a reduced cost for issues related to family, housing, consumer, and unemployment law. The lawyer will charge fees on a sliding scale based on the client’s income and may request an advance deposit. This program is not able to handle urgent legal needs as the intake and referral process takes time. Apply for services by calling or by completing the online application on the website.
