Even if the organization does not have a lawyer available to represent you in court, you may want to ask if there is a lawyer who you can consult with to get advice. Please note that we list the organizations by the town/city or county where the office is located – however, many offices may likely serve multiple counties. South Carolina Legal Services (SCLS) provides free legal assistance in a wide variety of civil (non-criminal) legal matters to eligible low income residents of South Carolina. Types of cases handled include: consumer/finance, education, elder law, employment, family, health, housing, income maintenance / public benefits, immigration and tax law. Serving Aiken, Allendale, Bamburg, Barnwell, Calhoun, and Orangeburg Counties.
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 AM to 5 PM
