The Ask-A-Lawyer program coordinates volunteer lawyers for televised phone banks and web chats to assist the public with its legal questions.The program allows people to ask lawyers questions about divorce; wills; employment problems or other legal issues. Information provided by Ask-A-Lawyer volunteers is given by South Carolina lawyers and is related to South Carolina law only.

South Carolina Bar - Free Legal Clinics
The South Carolina Bar sponsors free legal clinics around the state. Most involve a 30-45 minute lecture followed by either a question and answer or five minute one-on-one session with an attorney.
Charleston
People Against Rape, Inc.
People Against Rape (PAR) is a sexual assault advocacy program offering free support and services for survivors of sexual assault in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties of South Carolina. Our services include a 24-hour hotline, hospital accompaniment during Sexual Assault Forensic Exams (SAFE), police and law enforcement accompaniment, court accompaniment, follow-up services, trauma-informed counseling, as well as support groups.
