The Victim Assistance Program City of Dover Police Department provides crime victims with professional assistance and support. Each crime victim and their family are provided with a supportive environment to assist them through some very difficult times and decisions in their lives.

The Victim Services Unit provides information and support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child and elderly victims, and assistance to family members of homicide or suicide.

The Victim Service Section of the Delaware State Police is available 24 hours a day through the toll free hotline, 1-800-VICTIM-1 (in state) or by calling (302) 659-6823 from outside of Delaware. There are offices located in each of the three counties throughout the state. The Victim Service Specialists are available to respond to crime scenes, hospitals, residences, etc at any time, day or night, when requested to do so by an officer.
