Laws current as of March 27, 2024 Does it cost anything to register my protection order?
Federal law says that states cannot charge for registration of a protection order “whether issued inside or outside the State, tribal, or local jurisdiction.”1 Therefore, Michigan courthouses should not charge to register a foreign protection order in Michigan.
