Advocates for Family Peace serves victims of intimate partner domestic violence. In particular, people experiencing an on-going pattern of coercion, intimidation, and emotional abuse, reinforced by the use and threat of physical and/or sexual violence. Offering 24 hr helpline, advocacy, information, resources, supportive listening and evaluating risks to provide assistance when a victim’s intimate partner has been arrested and/or assistance in filing a restraining order when needed. Hands of Hope Resource Center provides free and confidential services to residents of Morrison County and Todd County affected by crime and abuse. Services include: short-term emergency safe housing for victims of domestic violence, coordination of long term housing with shelters, safety planning, assistance filing Orders for Protection (OFP), assistance filing Harassment Restraining Orders (HRO), support during emergency room visits and related medical procedures, ongoing support counseling and support groups.
