They help in navigating the criminal justice system and provide free services that help secure safety and self-sustainability after victimization. Services include: a 24-hour crisis line, shelter, safety planning, financial assistance, accompaniment in court, assistance with victims’ compensation and protection orders, referrals, housing advocacy, and more.
