Laws current as of October 24, 2024 How do I get an extreme risk protection order?
The steps to get an extreme risk protection order are similar to the steps to get a domestic violence protection order, but you will fill out different forms. You can find the petition and affidavit for an ERPO on the Colorado Courts website. The petitioner must file for an extreme risk protection order in the county where the respondent lives.1
